  1. I've been burning dvd's for months and months now with no problems at all untill recently.

Every dvd i burn now plays fine on my pc but has problems on my standalone dvd player. The problem is when i put the dvd in, it starts playing but freezes up constantly at the beginning before it even reaches the menu. If i continually press skip over and over i can manage to get it to reach the menu and from there everything's fine, the movie plays right the way through with no problems. It's just at the start before the menu comes up when you get the fbi warnings and the movie studio's logo that's always all messed up and gives me problems.

I've used numerous different media and they're all the same so it's not a media problem, i've used numerous different burning programs and that makes no difference either so it's not a fault with the burning app's. It also does it with every type of movie i try to copy, wether it's a video_ts folder, .img file, or iso.

Anyone know what could be causing this, could it be my burner itself that has a problem??

It certainly sounds like a burner problem. I assume you have tried to play the DVD's on other players to make sure it's not a player problem? Two other possibilites are the DVD burner needs cleaning or a firmware upgrade.
