Just bought a 2-port Belkin KVM switch w/audio and followed manual instructions to the "t".. My keyboard and mouse immediately freeze upon connection the USB2.0 cables to the KVM switch.. And there's also this continuous beep as soon as make the connection from my the system I'm connecting from.. ???
The mouse and keyboard are both Window compatible and work fine when connected directly to either one of my 2 systems.. I called/emailed Belkin support and it's been several days with no response.. I also tried a couple of troubleshooting items listed in the manual but still nothing.
Does anyone know solution? Thanks.

From your description it sounds like you are conecting the KVM after you have booted (while in Windows). If so then try -- Power off both PCs, make the connection, and power back up one at a time.
Big Government is Big Business.. just without a product and at twice the price... after all if the opposite of pro is con then wouldn’t the opposite of progress be congress? -
Do a search on this forum for kvm switch. You will see a thread from PRESTO dated Mar 22, 2004 00:25. It sounds like that is your problem.
