  1. I have d/loaded a movie file that is xvid with ac3 sound.I've stripped the wav with virtualdub and tried to encode to vcd with mainconcept. The movie is in 3 parts and part 2 and 3 have encoded right.Problem with part 1 is (i think!) that somebody has inserted a title screen with a different frame rate on it.When i play the original movie the title screen come up and then after 18 seconds the movie starts. When i re-encode to vcd the titles and video run correct but the audio starts after 11 seconds.
So my question is which program can i use to cut the titles screens out.
Tmpgenc just encodes a black screen
Mainconcept-Ive tried messing with the advanced video setting so that it starts to encode from positin 18 sec,but it still starts from the begining
Im not sure if i can do it with virtual dub
Please help to get rid of these titles.
    Thanks in advance

To cut out the beginning of the avi, open your movie with Vdub. The first thing you do is click on the "mark in" button. It looks like a left arrow. When advancing to the exact frame where the title movie ends, use the "key next" button(looks like a play button with a key on it). Using "key next" will advance to a key frame, which is where cuts are actually made. Once you do that, click the "mark out button", go to "edit" and select "delete". Finally, make sure you have direct stream copy for video and save as avi.
