Liebe Forumianer,
als PC- und DVD-Neuling habe ich immer wieder Probleme mit den vielen neuen Fachbegriffen.
Ich bitte mir den Unterschied zwischen DVD-Kopieren (auf die Festplatte) und/oder DVD-Image erstellen (auf die Festplatte) -immer auf eine separate freie Partition) sowohl in der Theorie als auch in der praktischen Durchführung zu erklären, oder mir entsprechende Links zu nennen!

Basically an image (or iso) is an exact copy (bit-wise) of the medium.
A file copy is a copy of the files of the medium, which is (with DVDs) not always an exact copy (because of CSS).
With an image, all copy protection bits are copied too.
But you can of course make a new image out of copied files, in order to generate a new medium.
This applies to all media (CD and DVD).
