  1. When selecting the source file to convert to mpeg in tmpgenc plus- .avi #1 autofills in the video file section only while .avi #2 auto fills in both video and audio. i noticed that .avi #1 has its audio file as a windows media audio V2, while .avi #2 has audio as mpg layer 3. what tool should i use to convert the audio in .avi #1 to a format that will be recognized by tmpgenc plus?
    -thank you for the help

Generally it's recommended to extract and convert the audio to wav and input that as the audio source for your TMPGEnc. Virtualdub can do that but I like Goldwave as it handles most audio types. Just load the avi in Goldwave then save to create a wav file.

Check your file with Gspot and make sure the required audio and video codecs are installed on your system. If any are missing then you need to get 'em and install 'em.
