You have a movie with 3ivx video. It can be played with Quicktime or in your standard media player if you install the 3ivx decoder. Converting it to DVD is a little tricky. See this thread: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212334
If your finished mpeg doesn't have sound, see this thread too: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212440
As you will see, this isn't a particularly easy conversion to attempt. If you are feeling bold, give it a go.

  3. Well, first understand that the NAME of a file has absolutely nothing to do with the format. This particular extension SUGGESTS that the file is Divx version 3.

The MOV, (underneath WHAT exactly? You are aware that I cannot see your screen from here?) would indicate it might be an MOV file.

Try opening with VDUB, WMP, TMPGENC, and/or a Divx player. Once you open it, check file info or properties to determine what the file actually is. Then follow the appropriate guide.

What part of this do you not understand ?

Anyway, you must find out what type of file you have before anyone can tell you anything.

What is the entire filename ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
