  1. I just downloaded a music video off punkrockvids.com and i wanna compress it from a 33.3MB to a 10-15mb one i dont really care if the sound/video is cruddy just as long as its compressed!

    Re-encode it at a lower bitrate. Divx is more efficient and will give better quality rather than keeping it as an mpeg. Virtualdub-mpeg2 can compress it to Divx or TMPGEnc can encode it to mpeg.

    IMO converting 33MB to 10-15MB is not worth the time it will take. But anyway, follow this guide here. There will be sections you can skip. Just start at the point where you load the file into tmpgenc. At the point where you can adjust file size, make it 15MB or whatever your target is.

    It is punk so most like a 2 minute song. Possibly between SVCD and VCD I reckon.
