  1. File only plays using DiVXplayer, others are green with audio
Problem is using TMPGE to convert to VCD I get green screen.
Set Direct show priority to 3. still green. If below 3 convert doesn't begin.
Downloaded new DiVX 2.5.3 player/codec. No help
    G spot says I have 5 codecs...
    Divx Pro 5.0.5
    Moonlight NicePheratu
    XviD MPeg 4
    2x DivX Decoder Filter 5.1.1031
What am I missing??? I've spent on/off weeks trying to figure out.
    Thanks in advance
    Nick

I think from nickgold's post he has already tried the help on there for a green pic.
I wonder if you have too many codecs installed , I have seen numerous posts in the past where people recommend to uninstall your codec packs and start reintoducing codecs one at a time as and when required and see if it cures your problem .

You seem to have 3 Divx codecs installed why not delete them and just install the latest one and see if that works.

  5. Thank you TeeGee420 the ffdshow was the problem. I got it working.
    I was almost going crazy.

Thank you also Andyp1. You were correct the first step I took was to check the TMPGE Problems and Tips page. Maybe we should add TeeGee's advice to that page.
As for the codecs, that did cross my mind, G spot says I have 53 video and 28 audio that might be too many. How many is too many? Any advice? Anyway, it works now. so if it aint broke dont fix right. right???
