Hi, I want to capture a vhs movie I own to dvd. The capture would end up being one file. Is there a simple and easy way that I can get it to have scenes and maybe even a menu? Would it involve reencoding or just typing in the times of the scene changes? Would they be seemless when the movie is watched start to finish?
Thanks.

I take it you have a capture card in your pc.
Capture using whatever capture software you have on the pc - Ulead, Win DVD Recorder etc. Depending on the eventual size of the file capture at the highest rate you can. i.e. DVD
Author with Tmpgenc DVD Author. This is a very simple progam to use and will allow you to have chapters and moving menus. The movie will play seamlessly from the start or from whichever chapter you play from.
