    i am wanting to know what is the best program to tak a dvd or vob files and make excellent svcd quality movies? I am new to all of this so please help.....thank you

    DVDx is my personal choice
    Ita a bit flaky and a difficult to use program, but its freeware
    People who do a lot of this use
    DVDtoAVI & TMPG but that also takes a bit to setup, including having a companion encoding program
