help with burner req plz - illegal dvdr problem

right, my burner is a nec1300a my software is nero 5.5. only just got it but when i try to burn a dvd rip to a tdk dvd-r it comes up with illegal disc, i have tried princos and mirrormax all have the same problem also tried philips dvdrw with the same result. the dvd rip is shrunk to fit so its definately not too big for the disk. does upgrading your firmware kill the guarantee. any help plz

I had similar Problems with my NEC 1300A in the beginning, using Nero5.
Try to get the latest update from the Nero Page should be 551054.
If this does not solve Your Prob, try a Firmware update for your Drive (current Version is V10A on the NEC Page). I'm using Nero6 the moment, so far no more Problems.
