Hi i am trying to convert an svcd to dvd using procoder but every time you try to import the mpg file it just freezes up.
All the correct codecs are installed and i can play the clip in media player also the program seems to work ok with avi files.
Has anyone had a similar problem and got over it and ifso how did you do it.
any help appreciated

go to the registered user section of canopus and there is a program you can download to enable reading mpg files IF you have a problem ..
you must log in first with your serial number and such to download it ..
this ussually takes care of the problem -- in extreme cases you must un-install procoder , windvd , powerdvd and reinstall in a different order and/or still use the canopus mpeg reader ..
i couldnt find much info about this on thier forum (reg'd user also only) but have had the same problem myself ..."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
I use procoder and no problems....
BUT, first time when I installed it I had a problem, it did open the file, but when I pressed the Target button, suddenly everything went wrong.
the problem was one of my codecs pack...called nimo. SO it might be a codec problem.
try this, try uninstalling every codec and programs working with video files, and install first procoder.
