I d/l a DVD-R copy of a movie. When I play it on the PC it is fine. When I burn it to disc (Maxell DVD-R and RW, made in Japan) and play it back on my two standalone DVD players (Pioneer), it is unrecognizable.
It looks like the horizonatl control from and old tv gone crazy. The image just keeps flipping, scrolling wildly in horizontal mayhem. Unless I jerk my head up and down really fast (not!) I cannot watch the video.
All of my other DVD-R's playback flawlessly on the same media. I tried opening it with DVD Shrink 3.16 to see if I could select only the movie (no menus) and I get the following error:
Programming error - exception occured
Then I run it again with the video preview off and it loads into DVD Shrink.
When I go to Re Author, and look for just the main movie title, it does not seem to be there. All the titles listed are 2 minutes or less. When I switch back to Full Disk, it appears that the main movie is listed under the "Unreferenced Material" folder as a VTS title (3789 Mb). I thought the main movie is supposed to be a VOB file.
I can only assume that this was ripped incorectly so the order is wrong. Needless to say when I try to play this VTS file back in DVD Shrink's preview window, it does not play.
Is there any way to correct this problem, to re-sort the files?
