    My DVD player is set at region 4. I only have 2 changes left.

    I want to make my player region free so I don't have this trouble anymore.

    I have a Pioneer DVD-ROM DVD-106.

    I've read that scavenger just returns the region free access to normal after all the changes are used up. (And I only got 2)

    Is there a free application that can make my player region free.

    I'd been there before and downloaded the firmware for my player.

    I've never flashed anything though and after reading through a few instructions, it seems complicated with boot disks and all.

    Is it risky for my player to be flashed or are there any effects.
