I've a feeling this will be a really stupid question, and this may not be the right forum, but I'm new at this game so help me out.
All I want to do is to save data files to DVD, including but not limited to video clips. This brilliant site has every topic and application under the sun for authoring and burning video but not apparently for buring data files.
My write came bundled with the usual stuff - good enough to write my video - but nothing to burn data. Tried the two progs that seem to be favourite - burnatonce and deepburner.
Deepburner writes my CD perfectly but refuses all attempts to write to a DVD (invalid media, or something). Burnatonce looks great, but I wasn't sure of the correct configuration and I got wary when it offered to burn (on my 106) at 4x - 16x.
It's probably me, but what am I doing wrong?

Well make sure both pieces of software or updated. If that doesn't do it then use Nero to burn data.
