    is converting mpeg files (700mb in size) the same process as converting avi files to dvd? using tmpgenc

    Only mpg2(svcd) files need to be converted which is the same as doing it for avi and mpg1(vcd) dont need conversion,just resampling audio from 44khz to 48khz.

    sorry just realised the dvd wizard on tmpgenc plus does it all for you, its encoding the mpeg file for me now....giving me a m2v file and a wav file (which is good cos thats what im used to) shall i still convert the wav to ac3 like i do with avi's? or shall i just burn dvd as it is?

    Sure,convert wav to ac3,i do that for all the audio for my dvds.
