    Was wondering if anyone new anything about either of the 2 tv's I am looking at. First is the Phillips 30PW850, and other is Samsung txn3071. Both are 30" widescreen HDTV's. Most especially want to know about the samsung. Seen reviews of the Phillips, not much on samsung. Appreciate any help.

    Not those TVs specficly, but both are very good brands.

    not sure on the philips but the samsung has a nice picture but people report sort a rainbow yellowish cast on the right side of the screen after awhile .. due to overheating the mask (notice specs on this model and more expensive models is diffferance of shadow mask type and quality)..

    this problem seems to only be an issue in very warm areas or with poor venting (installed in a tight furniture thing)

    Good info. Appreciate. It would be near a big window, so phillips sounds better.
