Hi all,
Maybe I should post this question at the newbie forum, so please forgive me if you think it's the wrong place - Premiere is an advanced tool so I decided to write here though;
The question is : I want to simply trim a DV movie and export (save) the useful trimmed part; in the same DV format;
Although I am a bit experienced user of Video Studio 7, I am a totally newbie on Premiere and as far as I realized the only way to do that is to export the movie after defining the IN and OUT points;
Does Premiere alter (render) in any way the quality of the DV trimmed movie ?
Or does it just cut unwanted part (as desired), without re-rendering it ?
Do I have to use any kind of special trick to adjust it to just save the trimmed video, without affecting the quality (re-rendering it) ?
Thanks,
Zetti

No it does not affect quality. Just put the file you want to edit in the clip window. Place the in and out points and click on the icon to transfer to the timeline.
Export the timeline as a .avi file. You can check that the export settings are the sames as the capture ones. That's all.
