Here is my question. Is there a program, like Intervideo or Instant Copy where I can select what I want to keep. Then rip that content to my hard drive into a VIDEO_TS folder, uncompressed and fully functional, as in re-authored with the material I wanted gone, gone? So I can then use another encoding program to reencode the video files? I've tried using IFOEdit, but to no avail. For example, I want to backup my FARSCAPE DVD's. The disc starts with an FBI warning, then 2 ADV video segments. I want those gone so when I place the disc in the player it goes straight to the menu. It does this fine when using a program like Intervideo, but I don't want to transcode, I want to reencode.

Use CloneDVD to remove any extras you don't want. After CloneDVD has removed the extras take the VTS containing each episode, cut it from the full DVD and paste into the directory that CloneDVD made. Just let the compressed files be replaced by the full. The result no extras and the episodes at full original quality.
I backup Farscape with Clonedvd and after removing all extras and using only the 192 bit audio stream the video is at 95% of original. -
Thanks, that's the answer that I couldn't think of.
