  1. Can I use DVDShrink not as a backup or copying tool, but to make a bunch of MPEGs (or their resulting VIDEO_TS folder) that I've made (but are too big) fit on a recordable? I'm relatively happy with MyDVD even though everyone bags it, but I believe it does encode imported MPEGs at 8000 CBR and with PCM audio, so these are what I want to shrink. Does it only compress the vision of video files, or will it shrink the PCM audio as well (with MPEG or AC3).
Will it effectively turn my CBR video into VBR?

I know a better solution is the TMPGEnc coding/authoring bundle, but I haven't got the OK to spend any more on this hobby right now and I'd like to see if I can achieve what I want to do with what I already have + freeware.

  2. no....ull need to make the vcd to dvd using a dvd tool to convert from mpeg/vcd to dvd, u could then author the resulting mpegs-dvds to a dvd with dvd-shrink.
