  1. Good Morning !

Since a few weeks i have noticed that when i make a backup of my DVD's i get regular pixelation in the movie . Sometimes it is only in a part of the picture - sometimes the whole picture . Not for very long - but it is noticable and of coz very annoying ! Sometimes it is even that bad that the Movie will stop - the TV will go blank and resume again after 0.5 sec's . To make my Backup's i am using CloneDVD . My writer is a NEC1100A flashed to a NEC1300 - but iam just using + media anyway . The DVD's iam using at the moment are Bulkpaq's which are certified from 1x - 4x ( they only write at 2.4x though ) .

Is there anything i can try - or has anybody else had the same problem ?

    Thanx already

  2. What is the point in flashing an 1100A to a 1300 anyway? Just curious, as I have an 1100a.

I'm guessing you did it to make it multi-format? I have read that flashing an 1100a to a 1300 won't work because when you try to burn to -R or -RW it will give calibration errors....but + still works fine. So why did you flash it if - doesn't even work?

  3. I honestly havent tried to burn a - yet . And for the point - i dont know .

Btw - checked the media with DVDInfoPro - no read error's so i guess it is not the media ...

Have you tried playing the authored video with powerdvd or windvd? If you don't see the problem, then maybe its your media.

You might also want to make sure you defrag your drive before you burn, as this has caused me a few problems in the past.
