  1. I am burning regular data files onto Memorex DVD+RWs, but my other computer with a DVD drive can't seem to read it. Am I burning wrong? Someone please help me.

    Thanks,

    Todd

Check the media the Media section at left versus the DVD-ROM of your other computer. It may have compatibility issues with Memorex.

Its hard to say,i use the same methods but at times it will read at other times it wont,i just put it down to the media and the way it gets burned at that instant more than to any way of doing a different burning style.Best to try a different brand of dvd+rw.Does your burner support bitsetting? If it does then it might help it to be recognized by the dvd-rom.

Sigh, I wish I knew what bitsetting was. I just got this laptop from dell with it like a week ago. It's a NEC 2100A or something like that. And I use Sonic RecordNow. That is about all I know.

Bitsetting is the ability for the dvdr to be set prior to being burned so it can be set as dvd-rom.The glossary is a great place to check on these facts.Look to the left for it.
