  1. wide screen sucks.who wants to go out and buy a new tv to go with the new dvd you just brought??? *walks in to shop buys a $10 dvd walks out,down the street to the tv/hifi store and says "hi there i wonder if you can help me im looking for a cheap widscreen dvd to go with my new $10 widscreen dvd that i just picked up 5mins ago". sales person says" the cheapest is 150bucks.

    money well spent i think NOT.pmpl :P
    movies do we watch them or do they watch us?

    Widescreen releases are meant for proper 16:9 TVs.
    Those people who complain about watching them on a 4:3 TV are missing the whole point of the format.

    Widescreen rules! Here are perfect examples. What gets to me is that it's not the aspect ratio that bothers people, it's that fact that they are limited (handicapped) to the non-widescreen TV that they obviously can't upgrade because of financial reasons. Since your TV costs more, then everything DVD you want to buy should revolve around it. So instead of complaining about the TV, since you're stuck with it, the next best thing is to complain about is the DVD.

    Just admit it...your TV sucks! DVDs can adjust with different aspect ratios but your TV can't physically change it's size.
