  1. i need to crop my video becase the top half is black and takes up to much screen....i would like to just cut that part right off...how do i do it?

    It would help if we knew what file format you are using. Virtual Dub mod has a null transform filter that do both AVI and MPEG files, but you have to frameserve the MPEG file to an MPEG encoder to save. TMPGEnc Plus can do most formats with its Clip Frame function under Settings-->Advanced tab.

  3. i have virtualdub version 1.5.1 AND TMPGENC plus 2.5 can i do it on either of these?i have mpeg files

    Yes. With Virtual Dub, you have to framserve the MPEG file to TMPGEnc Plus to save it as an MPEG after you crop it. TMPGEnc Plus can do it with just its main program

  5. ok i found it in tmpgenc....now the question is how do i do it?i open file then click settings..advanced..clip art..then i see the buttons to adjust it but then what do i do after that...the video is alreadyencoded for me to watch...i just need it resized with that..

    Use all the buttons you need to remove what part of the video you do not want to see. Select OK, then name your output file, press Start on the main program screen. It will re-encode the video, I do believe.

    I have heard the Mainconcept and CCE may be quicker, but I have never done any speed tests myself.
