  1. Hi I installed PowerDVD (big mistake) and hated it and un-installed it and went back to Windvd, but found out Power had itself made it always open VOB files in POWERDVD. now its suck like that... but to the best of my knowledge it is IMPOSSIBLE to get it to back to open with nothing be like the unknown files windows saw them as before I installed POWER DVD
DVD region settings are a joke, I can't believe how stupid people are falling for it

Do a websearch on Removing File Associations in <input OS here>. It should be able to help. The other way is to right-click on the file you wish to open, go to Open With and select the program you wish to open with. If you tick the "Always use this progam when opening this type of file" box then it should change permanently. Will only work on Win2K and XP though.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Chit, IDK I'm following you
    Search Comp PM
Go to any windows explorer window, go to the "Tools" menu, select "folder options"

Once that window comes up, select the "file Types" tab

scroll down to the VOB extention and click the "change" button and browse to find the windvd.exe file (or whatever you want to use to view VOB files)

Assuming here, you are using XP and you have administrator priveleges.
