    Hello

I am new at DVD authoring so please excuse the possible obvious mistakes.

I have created a Video DVD (DVD-R) using NERO6 and my MSI DR8-A burner with FW 120D.

After 1 hour playback the picture starts freezing and jumping on my TOSHIBA SD-200E player

If I play the DVD on my PC reading it with the MSI burner using powerDVD it's a little better but it's not perfect, however if I play the movie from the VOB files that are still on my HDD then it's perfect.

So I know the original files are not corrupted, then the problem remains to know if it's the burner (MSI DR8-A), the firmware (120D), the burning program (NERO6), the media (INTENSO DVD-R), or some other setting somewhere.

If I use DVDshrink to get the files from the non working burned DVD back on the HDD is there a tool that could do some "file compare" for me ?

    Thanks for the help

    Hi txl,

Based on your description of "freezing and jumping", my first suspicion would be it's your media. I don't know the Intenso brand, so don't know if it's good or not.

There might be some helpful comments in the "DVD Media" section to the left.

    Thanks a lot

I have looked at the media ID using dvdidentifier and of course the Intenso are crap for video, I happened to have another media available so I burned it and it works 100%

PS : It was close against Wales this afternoon, it will be harder next week in Paris (I hope)...

    Hi txl,

No problem. Glad it's OK now.

Yeah, but we came through stronger in the last 15 minutes and Wales were tiring too. There's also this to consider:
