  1. I have a no brand dvd player, bought in Australia from discount electrical centre (DEC). Anyway the dvd player doesn't read cd-rws but how come sometimes it can. That is, it sometimes read the cd, other times it can't, if i keep forcing it, that is, ejecting and closing it back, it will eventually read it. Why is this?

  3. vdk_au,

I've been on a similar question yesterday:

    Just for reference...

Does your DVD player fail to read other discs of this brand, or just this disc in particular?

  4. What sort of files are on the CDRW? Have you burned it as a VCD or an MP3 disc, or an audio CD etc.?

  5. My drive doesn't support reading cd-rws but sometimes read it. I brought a sony cd-rw and it did it read after i ejected and reinserted for about 3 times. The cd-rw from liteon doesn't work but it did after i tried a lot of times (more than 20). I burn them as a vcd through nero.

  6. My old cheap DMTECH (which I dont use anymore) did the same thing...but for ALL disks. All cd-r's, cd-rw's, and often even dvd's. It did this right out of the box the first day I got it. I even went and exchanged it, same thing....so it may just be a cheapo player.
