I've 21min of audio from a show I watch and I want to know if there is a way to seperate the dialog from the background music?
And if so what software would you recommend to do this?
I actually don't know if this is possible so I'm all ears, so to speak
I have the audio in *.mp2 and *.mp3 formats currently

Good idea. I tried it, but the effect sucks. Due to the dynamic range of most singers voices, too much clipping happens. I suppose that unless we have the unmuxed voice/BGM files, accurately reducing voices remains somewhere in the future...
