There is a similar thread running about creating subtitles for IFOEdit from .srt sources. I'd hate to hijack it about my own different need.
How can I convert an .srt subtitle scipt to a .ssa that I can use with MaestroSBT? (I need to use the resulting stream and script with Scenarist).
Is there a tool?
TIA.

You can use SRT2SUB. It has a function of saving .srt files to .ssa.

Used srt2ssa. It gave me the SSA equivalent of the .srt script.
Fed that to MaestroSBT and had my Scenarist Subpictures in 5 minutes.
Thanks for the tips.
Baldrick,
I think it's worth adding srt2ssa to the tools sections. I looked in there before posting but it's either missing or I missed it.The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
