  1. Hey all, I just wanted to know if any of you have used the Arcsoft Showbiz software? I only ask cause I got it free with my DVD writer and until I get Nero 6 it is the only software I have.

If you have used the software what did you think of it?

I have and always use Arcsoft Showbiz. It came with my dvd writer that I got. I think it is a great program. If you have a video that is upside down then you can flip it. You can also do flying text or have your video fly in then start playing. I think you will have fun with it.

Arcsoft Showbiz was the driving force behind me finding this wonderful site.

  4. Thanks for the reply. I have been messing about with Showbiz and I find it quite good, I like some of the features on it. However since posting my original message, I have run into some difficulties. When I tried to make a movie or create a DVD, my computer starts the process but before it can make anything an error report appears. It does not tell me what the problem is, just that there is a problem and whether or not I want to report it. This has happened a couple of times and so for I have been unable to create any movies or DVD's. If any of you may know what the problem is I would be grateful for some help.

    Thank-you

    There's better software for sure
    AVID, PREMIERE and SCREENBLAST (VEGAS)
    come to mind..
But SHOBIZ is steadier than at least one of these (premiere)

  6. Hey again. Just to let you know I got the problem fixed. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it and it worked fine.

The only other software that I have used is Adobe Premiere, which is a good editing package. I like Showbiz, now that I have gotten it working. The only problem I have with it is the cutting feature. I much prefer Premiere in this respect because you can just use a cutting tool on the timeline, wehereas with Showbiz you basically have to play the entire movie to the part were you want to cut and then drag the slider to that part. But apart from this I am pleased with my purchase of Showbiz.
