I have a Leadtek Winfast A280 card and I recently downloaded an older driver (nVidia 1.08) & installed it.

Now when I try to capture with Ulead VS quite often it crashes with the BSOD alert "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and mentions "nv4_mini.sys" (which is the nVidia driver).

Sometimes it will capture, but more often than not it will crash & I have to turn off the power to shut down. When I reboot, the black "system info" screen at the start is garbled, but it still reboots & seems OK.

Any suggestions what I can do? Do I need to uninstall then reinstall the driver? Or Ulead? How do I know it's installing in the right "IRQL" or memory cluster whatever? (sorry I'm bluffing with the terminology here, ha!)...

    Thanks.

Which OS are you using? If you have W2k, beware of some nVidia drivers that come for both W2K and XP. They crash badly under W2K. Use a version that is listed in the WHCL.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.

Man, I don't know what the problem was, but I ran PC Bug Doctor thru my computer & it fixed whatever it was!!! Ha... No more blue screens. Incredible.
