  1. I know have cracked how to get the ATI AIW Pro 32Mb to work in VirtualDub using the latest drivers from the CD, I just now need some advice for some top capture settings in VirtualDub then to encode to VCD or SVCD. At the moment I'm limited on Disk space because my second 10GB hard-drive has busted. But my dad is hopefully going to get me a 7,200rpm 40GB hard-drive after the weekend. Here are my Computer Specs for you to work around.
    ------------------------------------------------------------

    Windows ME
    500 MHZ Intel Celeron w/ 160mb RAM
    ATI AIW Pro 32Mb
10GB Hard-drive (not sure wat speed) (Split into x2 5GB)
    (Hopefully) 40GB Seagate 7,200rpm EIDE Hard-disk
    Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo II sound-card

    ------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not needed to worry about Macrovision, I've had them problems in Video-on-Demand capturing for live MPEG1/2 capturing. But I've found a crack to disable the driver to set off the macrovison protection for TV-In (not TV-Out).

  6. I have ME.

I get good capture quality at 480 X 480 with AIW capture program, but can't capture any higher (either AVI or MPEG2) w/o MAJOR dropped frames!

  7. Read this post:

I was having the exact same program, downgraded my drivers and now VirtualDub works perfectly! BTW if you're using ATI AIW and don't have VirtualDub set up, DO IT! My captures are SOOOO much better going AVI to MPG than compared to directly to MPG.

  8. mikewg,
I checked the link you gave, but I found that downgrading to MMC6.3 (I currently have 7) won't work with the AIW Radeon that I have.

    What ATI do you have?
