Pioneer dvdr310 menu problem

When I fanalize a dvd a page comes up where you can select different backgrounds for the menu I do this and I never have a menu come up when I play back the dvd as the dvd will not play until you hit the play button on the player. Does anyone know how to correct this and allow the dvd menu to autoload?

While menu's can be made on these, they do not automatically pop up when someone inserts the disc. It's a design flaw in my opinion but they are all like thu
One has to select menu on their remote in order to bring up the menu
