I am not sure if this is the right place, however here goes:
I have a Canon ZR80 and am tryign to record old 8mm tapes from my Sony Handycam to DV tape.
I am recording a tape that the B&W filter had been used for a small portion.
When attempting to record this portion I recieve a message on my Canon stating that the tape is copywritten and stops about 10 seconds in.
The color portion fromt he same tape records without a problem.
I am assuming that somehow the Canon is reading the B&W filter as some type of copyright encoding.
Has anyone experience this or know of a way around it?
