Hi,
What's the best codec for 64kbps songs for a small mp3 player? I either have the option of converting the songs to wma 9 format at cbr (using) or to mp3 64 kbps using lame and either abr or cbr. What's the best settings? Thanks. (i use dbPowerAMP for conversion).
Also, is there a way to batch process the conversion of mp3-->wma9? microsoft's website talks about some sdk kit but i don't know any programming. thanks.

WMA would be better at low bitrates, it uses a better psychoacoustic model than the now-dated MP3. If you must use MP3, the ABR (Average Bit Rate) would be better, as it allows the codec to vary the bitrate according to the complexity of the music.
I think CDex might be able to batch encode for you, but I'm not sure.
Basically, I would find a program that supports both and try all formats out, and see which you like best.
