If the .m2v files are indeed DVD format (check the DVDR article in the upper left corner), simply Open IfoEdit, select DVD Author-->Author New DVD. Load the .m2v file as video, select the target directory. Select OK. The resultant files will be able to be burned using your favorite burner like Nero.

Don't forget that there should be audio files as well as the m2v...

...unless there is no sound in your project for a reason...
    If in doubt, Google it.

No you cant , you need to Author in order to make a DVD.
TMPGenc DVD Author will accept the m2v files and create a VIDEO_TS folder which you can use to create a DVD.

This probably sums it up the best. The m2v file is just the video component of and MPEG stream. You need to join this to any applicable audio streams (also called multiplexing) and then author this to create IFO, BUP and VOB files. TommyKnocker instructed you how to do this using IFOEdit.

You probably should read the "What is DVDR" section at top left also.
    If in doubt, Google it.

With TMPGenc DVD Author when you add a .m2v file , if there is an audio file associated with that file , it will find and insert it automatically . Otherwise it will let you browse for the audio file.

480 x 480 is an SVCD resolution. You may want to use the guide to create and DVD-SVCD, using the DVDR article in the uper left.

Oh dear , I had this recently and it was a real pain.
Someone will tell me I did it completely the hardest way probably but this is what I did.

You need to get the file DVD compliant , at the moment it is SVCD as you have just been told.
I couldn't get any of my usual tools to play nice with my file.

TMPGenc didnt like it , Virtualdub didnt like it , TDA didnt like it , I could play it but nothing liked it. Even when I tried to make an SVCD , Nero didnt like it.

So I got Virtualdub Mpeg2 , which did like it , I converted it to an Xvid AVI.
Then , I ran it through TMPGenc Plus to convert the AVI to DVD (m2v and wav) Then TDA to Author . It worked perfectly.
