CDRW 80 MB not suported

Under a Yamaha 4416e recorder with latest firmware updated those media are not recognized. I'm using Nero, but not the latest versions.

If I update will it solve the problem?

In Nero, under 'Recorder/Choose Recorder' if your recorder appears in the list it is recognized by Nero. I don't understand what CDRW 80MB means, is that a model number (80 MB) or are you talking about one of those mini disks?

Oh, I see. You're saying the media is not recognized. Do you have any other programs that you can burn from (so you can remove nero from the equation), if so, try to burn from there. If that works Nero would be the problem. I've been using Nero a long time and I have never had it not recognize media, recorders-yes, media-no. However, when I backup from Norton Ghost it sometimes tells me to insert different media (it tends to favor any CDRW over most brands of CDR). Try it out.
