dvd data copying

Hello All!

I am wanting to find a program that will let me copy a dvd data disc
the data disc is full of avi files and other file and folders
does anyone know of program that will let me do this?

also when i try to copy the files across from the ddvd to my hard drive i
get Cyclic Redundancey Errors

is that a problem with my dvd drive or is a problem with the disc itself?

Your best bet would be to copy all to your hard drive and then on to the new disc. However your error sounds like a bad disc.

I would agree that it sounds like the disc is knackered. One way around the CRC errors is to try a different DVD ROM - you may get lucky and get one that is more forgiving on the condition of the disc.

cool, thanks i am copying the files accross to my harddrive one- by one hoping that i dont get the errors, but .. i was wondderin
if ther was a program that did copy a data dvd disc? like clone cd maybe?
or not?

if you just wanna copy a dvd disc (considering there isnt anything wrong with it) you can use nero and do a disc-to-disc copy.. or even free dvd decrypter.. rip to iso, burn the iso..

Cyclic Redundancey Errors are the result of a bad disc ... Condition, ect.
I get alot of that when im trying to use dvd shrink on a dvd that has lots of scratches.
