  1. I know that my desynch issue is caused by my100 mhz .wav conversion to 4800hhz .ac3 format for my dvd project.

I split a few avi files and rendered the video's in .m2v format and rendered my audio to .wav then .ac3 and of course, i got desynch.

The problem is, I can see the exact duration of the video in any of several programs, but I cant seem to get anything to open up an .ac3 file in order to let me see its duration, little less to actually modify it so that the desynch is gone.

Does anyone know of an program that can read .ac3 and perhaps change the duration as well? Freeware is best, but trialware waorks - please dont tell me about cripple-wear as it wont do me much good.

    Thank you.

  2. Try downloading Headac3he (an audio encoder) from Doom9. It will load AC3 and show it duration. If you are going to edit the audio, you are probably better off doing that with the original wav file.

Goldwave is an audio editor that can open AC3 as well. You might have some luck with that program for resampling the audio. (probably not as AC3)

    Good luck.
    Happy to be here.

Try AC3machine there is a guide here: http://www.doom9.org/ac3machine.htm
It can, among other things, "stretch" an AC3, while it preserves the 5.1.
