  1. Hey fellas. Hopefully some of you can shed some light on this. I have encode my avi's to vcd standards and i used nero 5.5 to burn it. The whole process goes without any problem. When i tried playing on my laptop dvd rom, it works, but playing on 2 of my dvd players, it doesn't recognize the disc. I know my dvd plays vcd and svcd because i have some that i bought that works. My sis also bought some vcd's for me from china and that works great. I tried using other cd-rw media to see if this was the case. Some of the media had problems when trying to write. The one that i had no problem writing to is memorex.

    Hopefully there's enough info.

Please let me know if i miss any thing that can solve this.

  2. Hey Blaze, I spent $500 on a JVC 3-disc changer dvd player only to find it didn't play cd-r/rw media. Just an idea... try an audio cd on those types of media you are having problems with and toss them in to see if they play... if not I hope you kept the recipte for your players. BTW Panasonic seems to make thier systems standard able to read cd-r/rw media!

    Hope this helps!
