  1. I'm looking to purchase a new progressive scan DVD player, one that balances affordability (to me, defined as $300 or less) and quality. It is a must that it play Ritek G04 DVD-R burned on my Pioneer 106 on my Mac.

It will be playing on a Samsung HLN437 television, so the Faroudja de-interlacer is taken care of already.

I've been looking at the Denon-910, but according to the reviews on this website, I should stay away from Denon for DVD-R's. People have mentioned the Panasonic XP30, but that is becoming increasingly harder to find. Can anybody please recommend a few players that I can look into that will be a quality progressive scan player that can handle my Ritek DVD-R's?

    Thank you

I got a Daewoo 5800 and it plays my Ritek G04's without any problems whatsoever. Had it for over a year and a half now and still works great, and you can also turn the macrovision off on it...

  4. Daytek P871 or the Philips 726 are great choices.

Both are P.Scan, Dolby Digital and Dts.
Multi system players with Hack codes available.

These 2 babys read everything....I mean EVERYTHING.
