Tmpeg AC-3/DVD Author installation problem

Our company just purchased this product, and the return e-mail with serial number included a section mentioning the AC-3 plugin. Rather than supplying a specific serial number it says to just enter in the one included with DVD Author. I tried this, and its no go ("Invalid Serial").

So now I'm wondering if it was even included in the bundle (the $99 DVD Author + Encoder bundle), and I just want to UNinstall it, but in Windows' Add/Remove, both DVD Author and the AC-3 plugin installations are greyed out. There's no uninstall in the Start menu either.

What's the deal with this?

The $99 bundle of TMPGEnc and DVD Author does NOT include the AC-3 plug-in. You must purchase it separately for $29.

Great so how do I uninstall it? It automatically boots the registration for the AC-3 plugin everytime I load DVD Author, and the uninstall/install item in Add/Remove is grayed out!

Unfortunately I don't know the answer to that question. Have you tried checking with the folks at Pegasys?

Just a thought but maybe the reason the un-install is grayed out is because the program didn't install correctly. You could try reinstalling over the old install and see what happens.
