    I am a newbie. I recently purchased a DVD9 Dvd. It is playing well in Standalone DVD Player(which is connected to a TV). But this DVD isnt playing on my PC. I have Samsung DVD Rom Drive. The rest of the DVD's are playing except for the DVD9. WinDVd,PowerDVD,WM9 dosnet recogonize the format atall.. moreover..when i go into the Video_TS folder all the files says 0KB Size. but hte dvd shows 4.3 GB in Size..

    can anyone help me on this one please

    My PC Config is
    P4 1.7 Ghz
    RIVA TNT2 M64 PRO (32 MB)
    Creative SoundBlaster Live 5.1

    When you say it doesn't recognise the format , most commercial DVDs are DVD9 that just means it is a dual layer disc . If you are reading that the disc capacity is 4.3 GB That would be a DVD5 .

    Your question is somewhat confusing.

    Can you play commercial DVDs on your PC ie Original films bought from shops?

    Is the film you are having problems with an original film or a copy?

    It is strange for someone to say I purchased a DVD9 .
    You might say I bought a DVD Film today and it wont play.

    Where did you get the information that it was a DVD9 from ?
