I haven't had that problem either. All of my discs that the machine would play before, it still plays after the upgrade.

  2. Can anyone tell me how to get the 2.29 firmware back on this player. I have tried the same procedure as the 3.02 to no avail.

  3. brand x,

I was able to roll back to 2.29. Here is how i did it:

I put the cd-r with tsp file into the unit and then hit play. the tray will open and close automatically.

I then powered off the unit and reboot it. This time i put the cd-r with 2.29 in the tray and the lvd-2002 installed it with out any hassle.

The reason I chose to go back to 2.29 was that although the player claimed to have updated to 3.02 successfully, but many of my dvd, divx files started to freeze up with the new version.
