No you cant, a DVD-Movie is from 3 to 7 GB so it is kinda difficult to fit it on one 650 MB CD. But you can convert the DVD-Movie to VCD or SVCD and you can play it on your DVD Player if your DVD PLayer supports it(check our DVD Player list).
http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdtovcd.htm is one method to make a VCD,SVCD from a dvd source.

  3. If you movie is under 80min long, you can fit it on one 80min CD-R disc as a standard VCD (you can fit 90min on 90min media).

If your movie is longer than that, then there is no way of fitting the movie on one disc as a standard VCD.

Theorectically you could fit any length movie on one disc as a SVCD, but practically, a SVCD will fit even less per disc than a VCD if you value video quality.

You could create one of the variants of XVCD or XSVCD (i.e., non-standard VCD and SVCD) but this is not guranteed to play on any particular player.

    Regards.
