Getting back to the topic, what I'd like to see is a policy of yellow cards for every bastard that sets a trap for the poor ******* newbie.
You know, the ones who trawl the forum looking for posts that might be suspect, and then asking them questions like 'what is on the disk?' when they know full well it might be copyright.
Rather than help these poor bastards they set them up for a fall by provoking the worng answer.
Then they go scuttling off the 'report this member' thread and add their fifteen post of the week.
I hate these bastards more than I hate the ones who advocate 'ware-hecks'.

2) I invented the internet (it sure as hell wasn't that Al Gore character!)
3) I took offense because all of a sudden I was being called the "moderator-wannabie" and "bleating policeman" when I wasn't ratting on anyone. In fact, in the font-related thread, I made a case that he DID need the font he was asking for. I would have given it to him, too. IN FACT, I even checked my fonts folder to see if it was there. His request did not seem questionable to me, but someone suggested wareX :P and it reminded me of this topic, so I started a new thread (not wanting to hijack that one).

I tease the newbies every once in a while if they ask for something dumb, but I'm not into reporting people. I just don't care to do it. But I did think it was an issue that someone might want to think about. After PM'ing a few mods with no response, I decided to post it here because I knew it would get a response. I'm glad everyone has contributed to the thread, and I'm glad that the mods are on top of it.

When you think about it Will, my original post was no different in nature than your recent entrapment posts, for which I was jumped all over. Maybe we don't see things so differently???
