yes ive read the help and i've been reading this forum. in the help guide it only says what to do when you have one movie imported. do you just link all the movies you import to the PLAY ALL or PLAY link on the menu? Also, with the scenes one for movie one, scenes two for movie two, etc, do all of those get linked to SCENE SELECTION on the menu?

ok basically, if I have 5 movies imported do I have to make those 5 movies into 5 separate titles. I tried to join all 5 VOB's into one big VOB but it kept messing up on the chapters and scene selections. I read that will happen when joining the VOBs.

in your case -- make 5 titles and link them in connections ..

dvdlab seems at times --- when playing back , to hicup switching between titles though (plays but brief pause) -- may be a player only thing , but i just noticed it today fooling around with it ..

Only by joining the video/audio files together before DVDLab authors them.....

And I've never noticed any "hick-ups" when switching from one title to another, like BJ_M mentioned. But it could just be on certain players...

  8. I noticed no pausing or hicupping between titles either, and I do a lot of that with DVD-Lab. I have a Sony, Toshiba and Panasonic player.

maybe it was a one time thing -- i dont ussually use this product but decided to give it a comparison and try out ..

it is an excellent product .. lot of great features ...

only (other) thing i noticed was importing some VOBs .. but not from first one ..

even when dvdlab demuxed them it would fail compile ..

demuxing them w/ ][muxer first fixed that issue ...

it would be nice to know which clips are what (name of file) on the time lines ...

just pulled one of the first DVDs that I made with DVDLab...it was a movie recorded off TV then cut into pieces (removing commercials-before I completely knew how to use it... ) with TMPGEnc Plus(before I discovered Womble MPEG2VCR). Using DVDLab, I had to make 14 "new movies" (to account for all the different pieces)-just make a new "MOVIE" for each title.

Then, I made my own "scene selection" menu--one which linked to each part of the "movie" (Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc...) and which also linked back to the "main menu"

Then, if I remember correctly, you can link each "movie" together for continuous play. No "hiccups" for me on this particular movie.

    just a thought

i have tried numerous times and still cannot get this work properly. Does anyone know of a step by step guide to authoring a DVD with this program? The quick tutorial in the program itself is pretty clear, but does not show you anything on adding more than one movie.

on the left side window top -> add movie , as many as you have clips .

load each clip into each of thier own movie time line

right click in the connections windows and select the + sign thingie and draw a line between each title ...

    done
