  1. Hi there, I recently purchased an Aspire AD-900 DVD player.
I'm having a few problems with SVCD playback.
The player will play normal DVDs perfectly with absolutely no errors.
However, when I burn SVCDs, about 2/3 of the way through EVERY CD that I make it will hesitate a few times slightly. Please note it is ALWAYS in the same place (approximately) on the CD. (2/3 of the way through).
The AD-900 is rated to play SVCDs, VCDs, DVD-R, & everything u can throw at it, so I don't know what the problem it. Since it plays normal DVDs properly, I doubt it's a problem with the player hardware itself.
Has anyone had a similar problem or know of any ways to fix this? (I burn at 10x on a 24x burner). I'm using cheap media, but I doubt that's the problem. I've never had a problem with the media before. (Optimum media). Should I exchange my player?? Thanks! ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I played a burned svcd on my brother in law's Aspire AD-900. No problems. No pauses. I used a Ritek cd. Try some different media before you exchange the player.

  3. Thanks for response.
I tried memorex black bottems last night. (Since I figured these would be the opposite of the silver ones I currently use)
No help. Still skips at 3/4 - 4/5 of the way through.
I have noticed many many people have a similar complaint under the DVD player reviews (of other DVD players, not the AD-900). Somebody must have resolved this at some point!
