I have a audio and video sync problem. I am trying to capture movies from my satellite reciver to mpg2 files. Video quality is good and sound is good but in the end of the movie the sound comes 1 second or more after it shoud come. No frames dropping during the capture, The latency starts to show after 30min and increases to the end. I use Ulead Video Studio 4.0SE Video Wizard software in windows 2000pro to capture and hardware setup is:
- AMD Athlon 900MHz
- Abit KT7A-raid
- 256mb 133MHz
- 40Gb IBM deskstar 7200rpm dma100
- Gainward GeForce 2 mx400 32Mb twinview/VIVO
- Terratec DMX XFire1024
Has anyone had simillar broblems? Someone said that my PC is too slow to sync audio and video, but I donīt think so. I can capture mpg2 with 720x576 res, bitrate 4000, audio bitrate 224 and quality 9 in Ulead Video Wizard whitout any frame drops. I donīt get this!
Please help, Iīm losing my mind over this!

unless the clock frequencies of the video/soundcard combo are in perfect sync(to within a fraction of a millisecond), 0 frame drops means progressive audio async. buy better hardware or use virtualdub internal capture mode to sync the video/audio clocks
