Hi.. I made a DVD a while back with TMPGENC DVD author and threw about 6 .mpg's in the DVD. well I recently lost those mpg's on my computer because of me having to reformat. What program do I use so I can rip those 6 MPG's from the DVD I had made?

Use Explorer to copy and paste the vob's to your hard drive. Rename to mpg if you need to.

  3. Demux the VOB files. The audio will be MP2/PCM/AC3(depending on what is was encoded in originally) and the video will be MPEG2.

Vobrator. It's a free tool to demux VOBs to video and audio. If I remember correctly it allows you to demux into a program stream MPEG (still muxed), or separate streams if you want.
